A Summer Of Experiences In The U.S. With Camp Kimama
An amazing 10-day long experience, in a specially constructed program tailor-made for children arriving from Israel, as well as American. Kimama New York is aimed at campers from the U.S. and Israel who come together for a meaningful encounter, growing closer to one another while also sharing Israeli culture and the Hebrew language with U.S. campers.

Camp Location
The camp is located in a spectacular location next to the Delaware River, surrounded by green lawns and forest, two hours north of Manhattan. The camp is spread out over an area of about 250 dunams (about 62 acres) and includes: broad, grassy areas, thick forest, swimming pool, dining room, sleeping cabins, art cabin, rope bridge, archery range, sports fields: tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, centers for relaxation and rest (hammocks, gazebo areas, etc.), and more.

Activities at Camp
The camp program is full of challenging activities and experiences from morning until night. These activities make up the structure, which is then infused with Israeli/educational content. We believe that through games, songs, and challenges, we can make every activity more enjoyable, more educational, and more of a bonding experience. The educational program at camp is built around values of leadership, developing social and community skills, creative and critical thinking, Jewish values and strengthening campers’ affinity for Israel. The program is adapted to our campers’ characteristics according to age, interest, and primary values: culture, history, experience, fun, and security.

Why Kimama?
At Kimama we promise kids and youth a summer that is safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable. A summer that’s not only fun, but also a social and educational experience; an experience of other languages and a new world that opens up to them. There are challenging activities, new acquaintances, powerful memories, an international atmosphere and friends from all over the world, who meet to spend a summer together that they’ll never forget. At Kimama, safety and disciplinary rules are thoroughly and consistently enforced by our professional team of experienced, adult counselors. They maintain close contact with the campers and are always there for them. There is no experience like this in the world.

Our Trip
in addition to the 10-day camp, you can choose to join our 2-days trip in Manhattan, along with the campers coming from Israel. We’ll run around on a scavenger hunt that takes us through all the central sites of the city, spend time soaking up the atmosphere of the Big Apple, and share a Kabbalat Shabbat service together with the Israeli community in Manhattan, all while leaving a little time for shopping.

The tip is mandatory for campers arriving from Israel. U.S. campers are, of course, welcome to join this trip for an additional payment. Payment includes lodging and all meals while on the trip.

Our Staff
Our counselors, all speak at least two languages, are Kimama graduates, some of whom are emissaries (“shlichim”) with the Jewish agency, and all of whom offer a wealth of experience in leadership and working with children. Our responsible and experienced team of counselors provides personal attention to every single camper. The team places a major emphasis on personal enrichment of campers, boosting their self-confidence, and providing a safe space where they can feel free to express who they truly are. Camper-to-counselor ratio: 1:6
